In addition to this we deliver a year round cultural programme of events, arts, and performances striving to increase the visibility and presence of queer arts throughout the city.

Since launchingwe have established a reputation of international quality, our programme aims to reflect the diversity of the LGBT community and regularly new commissions, premieres & partnerships with many of the city's most prominent arts venues and organisations.

SHOUT remains a place to celebrate diversity, push boundaries, challenge views, explore meaning and provides a platform for the voices and experiences of queer people. We have increased the profile of queer arts in the region. We aim to be an inclusive and distinctive festival, developing talent, encouraging participation and challenging artists and audiences to think in new ways.

Joe Black - 'Meet Me At The Eldorado' - UK TOUR DATES & DETAILS ANNOUNCED

Joe Black - Meet Me At The Eldorado

‘Don’t worry about the cold of winter. Here you can warm your hands.’

Notorious cabaret reprobate Joe Black evokes the spirit of the infamous 1920’s Berlin nightclub The Eldorado.
Abandon your troubles at the door and allow yourself to slip out of realities trials and tribulations.

With new original songs and stories alongside tributes to more recognisable artists,
Joe Black invites you to an evening of fun, filth and frivolity that pays homage to the decadent Weimar Berlin nightlife.

A villainous maestro of the cabaret genre, Joe Black blurs the line between utterly sinister and completely delightful.
Irreverent, comical and devilishly charming.

Come down to the cabaret….

‘Here it is right.’

“An evening chock full of indecent hilarity. This one-man song and dance feast will leave you gobsmacked for all the right reasons” - Time Out Melbourne

“Amazing!” - Jonathan Ross

“Charismatic and downright filthy.. There can be no one else quite like him” - Broadway Baby

“Not to be missed” - Vanity Fair Italia

A Very Joe Black Demo Version Christmas!

Would you like access to these lovely demo recordings of christmas related material? well, now is the time!

if you get ANYTHING off my online shop - CLICK HERE - the email address that has made the purchase will get a download link for the tracks and voila, they're all yours to do with as you wish.

and in the interest of honesty - the download link will also become public on christmas eve. as a sort of christmas gift to any interested persons. not everyone can afford to buy things this time of year, so you won't miss out if you don't take part in the festivities. you'll just get it a little bit later.

anyway - here's the track list. i really hope you all enjoy the stuff. Lots of nightmare before christmas (because its my favourite, clearly.) it's all very silly and they're all rough demo versions of songs with the tracks i use for live shows. this wasn't an expensive studio trip or anything formal, this was me trying to do something nice with some home recording equipment i have, as i've never really done anything particularly related to christmas specifically before!

1 - T'was The Night Before Christmas - Traditional Poem

2 - What's This? - Nightmare Before Christmas cover

Brighton.. A new resident intimate cabaret venture!

I've just been to see a new cabaret venue in brighton. A gorgeous and small but incredibly decadent looking art deco room above a bar and restaurant.

In the bar theres a red velvet cushioned door with a big gold door knocker. Go up the stairs.. A gramophone plays. Turn to the right and enter the room. Dimly lit... Candle lit tables and booths with red lamps.. The word 'GIN' lit up in neon lights by a bar that's hidden behind a plush curtain.

Table service. Piano by a small but perfectly sized stage... and i've just set up some dates for some intimate evenings there.

An evening with Joe Black plus special guests... BRIGHTON! Put 23rd july in your diaries. More details to come soon.

I must say i am VERY excited. The venue lends to what i do so perfectly. I'll be performing some of my usual bits.. but the space has inspired me to work on some new things. So if this works (and i'm sure it will!) i'll be there regularly. Slightly different show every time. With more than a few surprises!

Hope to see you at the bar...

Ginfully yours,

Joe Black

A new website! How delightfully fresh!

Hello all! Joe Black here!

as you can see, i have a new website! some things are still being updated and moved over, so some areas may be incomplete. though please feel free to have a look around! On the technical side of things its been changed round so that i can update the website easier myself. So it should be kept up to date more often.

thanks for having a look! and i hope to see some of you at a show soon!

Ginfully yours,
Joe Black.
